What is performance improvement |
| Performance Improvement (PI) |
is a comprehensive method, underpinned with proven tools, for raising performance in organizations. Staff performance and productivity are its central focus.
Individual employees are seen as parts of a complex system engaged in a constant round of interactions, not only with colleagues but also with other parts of the organization. Taking a global view of these dependencies, Performance Improvement analyses performance problems and potential, and develops sustainable measures to boost success. So it is based on a systemic as well as a systematic sequence of analysis, planning and implementation.
Unlike other consulting and management approaches, Performance Improvement takes a more global view of performance issues in companies. This vision is made clear in its easy-to-use tools. Furthermore these tools, the result of years of development, are not reserved for the consulting phase alone but remain available to both management and staff in future. So they encourage action and not just analysis.
An overview of the world of PI can be found on the website of the International Society for Performance Improvement
